Dr. Damian Bebell has an established reputation as a leader in the design and implementation of research studies in technology rich educational environments. As a frequent keynote speaker and contributor to many of the fieldís top journals, Damianís work serves to help schools and organizations better understand and quantify the implementation and impacts of their educational policies and practices, technology investments, and assessment models. As an Assistant Research Professor at Boston Collegeís Lynch School of Education, Damian pioneered numerous tools and techniques for leveraging existing school resources to provide rich empirical reflections for audiences ranging from classroom-level educators to state and national policy makers. In 2010, Damian edited a Special Issue of the Journal of Technology, Learning, and Assessment producing the first collection of peer-reviewed research studies emerging from 1:1 computing environments. In 2011, Damian co-authored The School Mission Statement (Routledge) and founded the purposeofschool.com website, dedicated to help strengthening strategic vision in education and assessment. In 2013, Damian co-founded the International Research Collaborative, a longitudinal research collaboration between 1:1 international schools, educational leadership teams, and data scientists around the world. Damian currently serves as Director of Research for Consilience Learning where he helps schools across the globe engage in research and reflection activities to better tell their story and document their successes on their own terms.
