Addressing the needs of high ability students is of growing interest within international schools.
The purpose of this Collaborative is to bring together international school professionals to develop and foster mutual support and professional growth in developing effective and responsive procedures, policies, or programs to meet the academic and social-emotional needs of Gifted/Highly Able learners, and ultimately appropriately challenge all students.
Leaders in international schools who are in the process of initiating or extending the implementation of supports or services for high ability or gifted and talented learners are invited to join the Collaborative.
Time commitments for the Collaborative include in-person annual meetings and semi-regular virtual share-outs of research, best practices, new initiatives, data review, and enrichment opportunities.
ASB is pleased to sponsor the first meeting of the High Ability/Gifted and Talented Learners Collaborative. A workshop and discussion will take place on the first day of the conference and close with action items for schools at various stages of implementation. Please take a few minutes to complete this form if you/your school is interested in joining the Collaborative and can attend our first meeting on Feb 22nd during ASB Un-Plugged. We will have a workshop on day one of the conference, interspersed with classroom visits and student showcases.
